Interesting art style.

Showing that type of monster early on breaks any tension and suspense later on in episode since you know what to look out for.

Anyway, this is a nice break from all those light novel harem, fantasy, ecchi, romance, action, bland mc anime this season. Something different is almost always welcome!

The choppy movements / waxy textures really contribute to the tension here; the music fits nicely, though none of it is particularly memorable. I'm interested in why Satoshi was killed but only barely eaten, since you'd think that the monsters would be killing as predators looking for food.
