Why DxOMark scores are basically worthless
This week, following a small amount of fanfare, the OnePlus 5 nabbed a DxOMark Mobile score of 87. A day later, as if timed perfectly to demonstrate the flaws of its rating system, DxO gave the LG G6 an 84. And the Internet is suitably riled up. Comment threads suggest something untoward has happened as a result of OnePlus's recently-announced partnership with DxO. Reddit is swimming in incredulous anger.

The Samsung Chromebook Plus might be the best place to try new Android features
If you want to check out the latest features for Android as soon as you can you know what phone to buy: The Pixel. But you still won't be able to check out every feature because a few are always going to be dependent on screen size. The Samsung Chromebook Plus has you covered. It's just a better buy in 2017 than a Pixel C and offers the same level of Android support. We're seeing this now, and it's not likely to change unless we get new hardware from Google this fall.

Google will bring drag-and–drop feature in Android with machine learning
Have you ever thought how long it takes to actually move or copy content from one place to another in your smartphone? If you haven’t, just think once. Ok let me help you: Moving files from a SD card to a phone memory or vice versa requires at least 8 taps (Yes, I calculated that while using my default file manager). ZTE unveils Axon 7s with Snapdragon 821
ZTE extends the life of the Axon 7 even further - there’s a new upgraded version, which sports a Snapdragon 821 chipset (up from the 820). However, it’s not clear if it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage like the previous spec bump. Really, that’s all ZTE’s press release says and their website is yet to be updated with the 7s model. We did notice that the speaker grill design has changed, but there’s no info on any changes to the stereo speakers or the Dolby Atmos.

Google Nexus 6 Appears on Google Git with Android O Running the Show – Could the Phone Receive the Update?
The Motorola-made Google Nexus 6 is now into its third year following its release towards the end of 2014, meaning that it is no longer supported for major Android OS updates. However, the aging phone has been spotted on Google Git with the latest Android O running the show. This OS is still in developer preview mode and in fact, it is only available (officially) for a handful of Google devices, including the Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X – all of which are less than two years old in the market.

Android Wear 2.0 is hitting more watches today
Yesterday, Google said that an unspecified bug was delaying the Android Wear 2.0 rollout yet again. It looks like the delay hasn't been too severe though. The company says that Wear 2.0 is now available for five more watches: the Polar M600, Nixon Mission, Fossil Q Wander, Fossil Q Marshal and Michael Kors Access. That's in addition to the Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 and TAG Heuer Connected, which Google said were already receiving the update. All told, that's almost half of the 19 older watches that'll get the Wear 2.0 update.
