Google Nexus 6 Appears on Google Git with Android O Running the Show – Could the Phone Receive the Update?
The Motorola-made Google Nexus 6 is now into its third year following its release towards the end of 2014, meaning that it is no longer supported for major Android OS updates. However, the aging phone has been spotted on Google Git with the latest Android O running the show. This OS is still in developer preview mode and in fact, it is only available (officially) for a handful of Google devices, including the Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X – all of which are less than two years old in the market.
