U.S. Media Blacks Out New Snowden Interview The U.S. Government Doesn’t Want You to See
This past Sunday evening former NSA contractor Edward Snowden sat down for an interview with German television network ARD. The interview has been intentional blocked from the US public, with virtually no major broadcast news outlets covering this story. In addition, the video has been taken down almost immediately every time it’s posted on YouTube.

Excellent interview! As a side note, I find it interesting these days that the word "media" has evolved to be synonymous with "mainstream news corporations". That's not what the word is supposed to mean. The word media is merely the plural of medium. Medium is defined as "an agency or means of doing something" or "the intervening substance through which sensory impressions are conveyed or physical forces are transmitted". Media should refer to the methods used to communicated, not whether or not it is a mainstream news corporation. For example, this video is being shared via the medium of the world wide web. Mainstream news corporations also use the medium of the world wide web. To address the comment made by user sysadmin "I'm more disappointed in our media". I'm not. I love our media, because it enables videos like this to get out to the public. But the mainstream news corporations that use our media are another matter entirely.
You're absolutely right. The term media is bundled more and more with the misconception that its all about the mainstream media. I too am happy that even though the CNN's, NBC's, and CBS's of the world choose to ignore and outright cover up certain aspects of the news, there is always other media streams that will publish the truth. It's just sad that a majority population doesn't have basic access to alternative news sources that are less biased and more forthcoming.
Not saying I agree with their methods but considering that the individual is working against them their actions make sense...
I'm more disappointed in our media.
