A single dose of the HPV vaccine protects just as well as 3 doses
A new study, published in The Lancet, shows that a single dose of the GlaxoSmithKline HPV vaccine, Cervarix, which protects against high-risk human papillomavirus types 16/18, protects women against infection just as well as 3 doses. Current public health guidelines recommend administering 3 doses.
