Terry Prachett. I have a lot of love for the Discworld books and for Terry, who always came across so well in interviews and had a lot to say about important issues like assisted suicide. My Nana has Alzheimer's too so I know what it can do to people. So, so sad.

The year after: started sixth form, drank a lot, got thrown out of sixth form, worked for the council, started a new sixth form college. Pretty much one big circle for me.
I did manage to finish that sixth form with A levels though (and not get thrown out). -

In two words: mock duck.
Literally the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I tried it out in my veggie days of old, thought I'd whip up a nice sweet and sour. It wasn't nice, it made me sick. -

Is this any subscriptions?
Empire Magazine - subscriber for 5+ years - always great and really useful for my never ending Lovefilm rental list (plus amazon prime instant vid inc). I'd still rate Lovefilm - we get 4 discs at a time and never go a week without watching them - our local cinema is the trafford centre in Manc and it's hell on earth, so we'd rather watch at home these days. -

Day job: I work in Research admin (nursing, midwifery and social work) which is really interesting (to me anyway!). I am the little cog that keeps about 150 other cogs turning and brings them together in one slick machine. I do a bit of everything, write policy, report the committees, comms and marketing, intranet pages, sickness, absence and a million other things. I love it because it is so varied.
Part time:
- I am a Parter in a burlesque business, now retired performer. We run a bi-monthly society meet up and source performers for private an corporate events an run burlesque hen parties in the north west. I am also, newly, assistant editor of 21st century burlesque
- I blog for Time Out Manchester
- I have a sewing blog that I get sent free stuff to review or make and I am self employed as a seamstress, so I make a few bits and bobs for people and other businessesI love all of the above as they're way more creative than my full time day job and if I didn't have them to keep me going I'd probably be very sad. Having the balance is really important to my happiness I've found.
