Atheists’ lawsuit is financial setback for National Baptist Convention
An atheist group’s lawsuit has halted plans to provide $65,000 in Kansas City taxpayer dollars for September’s National Baptist Convention in Kansas City. It comes at a time when public funding for religious entities is at the heart of another Missouri case that goes before the U.S. Supreme Court in its 2016-17 session.
