    ...So why should Bezos go all in and disclose Prime’s membership numbers? Because it would give Wall Street analysts the ammo they need to continue to recommend Amazon’s stock...

    Again. There is absolutely zero purpose for Amazon to disclose this information. Wall Street analysts aren't the buying public. Suddenly knowing how many people use Prime will not suddenly drag a fresh-as-yet-untapped market into play. It's useless for anyone who isn't slinging around stock portfolios.
