I personally think they will continue to innovate, but lets be realistic, a revolutionary new product can't come out every year as it's just not good business practice. When Steve Jobs came back to Apple, the very first thing he did was to eliminate all of these "revolutionary" but completely pointless products that were just dragging Apple down. He refocused the company on just a few products that can then be well build and streamlined. I actually think Steve left the company understanding the importance of focusing on a few but great products, instead of trying to come up with stuff just for the hell of coming up with stuff.

I don't think so. The thing that usually happens is that beancounters see risk as too risky and they market the crap out of cool looking stuff. Beancounters lack imagination. So they look at the sleek design and think the kiddies are buying because they look cool, not because it's a unique product.
