Plenty of foreign foods. I'd like to know more about Indian food other than the fake takeout (almost always Tika Masala) I get. Same with Korean food, all of it I've had is delicious, but I've mostly only had Korean Barbeque, which probably doesn't count at all.

THere's plenty of raw fish I find delicious, at least as sushi/sashimi.

I thought people generally just used Gmail for this functionality. At least I do, and from what I recall seeing around the office most people do to. I think there's one person who using the chrome app so that he gets popups over all windows.
What's the benefit to this?

The article touches on that. In fact, "too many books" is almost a quote from a little over halfway through.
I'm more concerned about the railing against Netflix being closed with their numbers. As a consumer, I don't really give a shit how many views a particular show got. I rarely, if ever, use viewership as a metric for picking something to watch. More often I'm using ratings from critics or aggregate ratings from other consumers, both of which are fully available for everything Netflix makes.
Even beyond that, the typical method for collecting viewership counts still works perfectly fine for Netflix shows. It isn't like they have ever been accurately recording what you watched on TV every night. They have always used a survey method and extrapolated that to the entire viewership. The same could easily be done for Netflix programming by a third party, if they so desired.

I was serious about that. If it needs an overhaul, how? If the people hurt by these claims want to hold Entura responsible, they are able to. There are several examples of the EFF helping people do exactly that.
The idea behind the DMCA is that the host for content does not need to be a copyright lawyer to host something. Almost any proposed change would require the host to determine the line for what is an is not Fair Use, which is at least a somewhat blurry line in a lot of cases. The situation with these videos, as I see it, is that Vimeo received a complaint from Entura, a company it had worked with before, that videos were infringing on their copyright. It seems like a safe assumption that next time the result will require a review, given the publicity this event has gotten. All in all, that seems like its working like intended.

This seems to be Intellectual Property laws working as intended. Company A submitted 10 takedown requests for infringement. Pages were taken down. The recipients objected, and as of right now all but one of the pages are back up.
