    And when they do this,the user has no control over their own device. That's why I use open source...My computer,my rules. Ok,I was given an IPhone a few years ago and I hate the thing with a passion. If you are a Linux user,you will understand the hate,if not,it will be a head scratchier for you.

    This is far from the first or even the tenth time a company has taken open source code and either transformed it into a proprietary program or cloaked it in a proprietary wrapper.

    First, people have long taken open source code, erased the license, and continued on their merry way.
