    Yes, there's numerous desktop environments available for Linux, but why show 7 different flavors of GNOME desktop? There's a lot better stuff out there.

    I like KDE back in the day. It was a little heavy, but really well put together. inter-process-communication worked well, so you could easily share things in between programs.

    My all-time favorite would probably be ROX Desktop. It's built to work a lot like RISCOS desktop, has integrated file manager, and was really fun to use.
