    What matters is that broadcasters preserve the dual-revenue stream of monthly fees and advertising income. They certainly don't want consumers to watch their shows for free over the air.

    It's not "free",it never has been,since ads were included..But now,of course,they want to double dip. I don't even have a tv anymore and I'd sure not pay and be forced to slog though stupid,mindless ads (which I'd mute) as well.
