AIM was how my grandmother kept up with family in Germany for a long time. I always preferred MSN though, all around I just thought it was better.

AOL is the one messenger that I actually didn't use much. I used ICQ, MSN, and all the other mainstream ones.

Yep, AOL/AIM never appealed to me as much as the original ICQ or MSN Messanger, both which I used religiously until Skype came out and owned them both. Now Skype is a crap pile, and I'm looking for something new. Maybe I'll finally give Discord a chance.

Hi, what don't you like about Skype? I haven't used it for a while. Perhaps I should post this as a question somewhere else, but what are the differences among Skype, Facebook's Messenger, and WhatsApp? Do they all do about the same thing?

Wow. I can't believe it was around for all this time- I thought it'd shut down years ago!
