By that time quantum computing has taken over and there will be way different types of computing. The possibilities are way bigger with that. (pun intended). :-) I do not think Microshite will ruin BSD, because it is the base for Mac OS. And, just a thought, MS seems way behind a lot of things with their products. Also: I do not see MS as a threat for computing, but as a threat for choices. The most avid Linux users I know steer away from everything MS on their machines, so my guess is that Linux will evolve in new branches or forks.
But mark my words: 10 years from now we do not work in just ones and zeroes anymore. :-)
