NASA is designing the first ever ALL-ELECTRIC airliner
NASA-funded research is investigating the possibility of developing all-electric airliners that produce no greenhouse gas emissions. The project, led by scientists at the University of Illinois, is exploring the potential of liquid hydrogen fuel cells as an environmentally friendly power source. By using cooled, condensed liquid hydrogen instead of hydrogen gas, clean power can be generated without needing heavy pressurised storage tanks.
