I love all these self balancing bikes coming out and what not, very cool technology. I'd never ride one though and even if I did I'd certainly be wearing a helmet. The bike might be able to correct for someone pulling out infront of you or road obstructions like pot holes and the sorts but I very much doubt the bike is going to be able to do anything if you're mid way through an intersection and get t-boned by a speeding red light runner.
