Completely agree. It can be hard as a parent to ration the amount of time spent on a screen. As adults we tend to spend a large part of our day in front of the computer or phone. Then you have those days when it has just been a long day at work and all you want to do when you get home is veg. We have a strict no electronics in the car policy, and we limit the amount of time our son is in front of the TV. Even with all of that I feel like he spends way to much time with the tablet or wanting to play games.
Don't get me wrong, I love technology and I use it every day, but this is really becoming a problem with children, teens and young adults. Nobody looks at you in the eye anymore, and all everyone cares about these days are their likes, followers and instagram pictures.
We are five siblings in my family (I'm the oldest) and thanks to them, I've really been able to see how much youth has changed this past decade. It's not good, and we really need to change that since I feel that our future generations will just become mindless robots that do nothing but look at their screens and communicate through them instead of using their voice. Also we have a saying that "This generation's yawn is the smartphone". Every time someone yawns another person usually yawns as well... Same concept with phones, someone uses their phone and then someone else quickly grabs their phone and does the same. A chain reaction if you will.
Ah, what a time to be alive! (I'm not a grumpy old man complaining about technology by the way, I'm 19 :P)
