Human use of cannabis is what, 5,000 years old? LD50? It's not toxic, even if you eat kilos of it. Maybe you would die if half a ton fell on you from a great height. Compared with tobacco or alcohol it is harmless. As for the article?

Does the use of cannabis increase the likelihood of fatal car accidents? Yes. By how much? Unclear

If it's unclear the why answer yes? How about:

Does the use of cannabis increase the likelihood of fatal car accidents? Don't know.

    Much more of the same.

If a legal limit for alcohol has been set for drivers why not set a legal limit for cannabinoids? Why the big discussion?

This is my only real major concern with legalization, the inability of a roadside test. With alcohol you have the breathalyzer, with other drugs it's going to have to be blood, and that's going to be a hassle.

Probably for most of human history, but easily since the Stone Age and the end of the last Ice Age. Funny how we can forget things like that.

I'd say it depends on what you are using it for.

I used to smoke about half a gram per day for years and with some help of "just" CBD I am trying to quit for two weeks now. To be honoust, it is not that easy. I have real weird withdrawals, like a messed up sleep schedule and an eating pattern that is slightly adjusting to regular. THC is great for peace and joy in my head, but it makes me lazy as fuck. I have way more energy now and as it seems, I am getting all the energy I missed out on the past three years. At once. So, is cannabis innocent or harmless? I think not. Is it good for you in small doses and with constraint? Yes, I think so. For medication it is good, but please do that with advice from a medical professional. It is so easy to go down a slippery slope of using more and more and more.

Never do anything you really enjoy more than three days in a row.

That's good to hear. While I think, in general, cannabis is not harmful and has possible medical uses, and definitely should not be illegal, personally, I cannot stand it. It had a bad effect on me. I stopped taking it many, many years ago.

Keeping it illegal doesn't serve any purpose, indeed.
