This invention by a British student could save millions of lives across the world
A 22-year-old British student has invented a mobile fridge that could save millions of lives across the world. Will Broadway's "Isobar" has been designed to keep vaccines at the ideal temperature while in transit in developing countries. And Will doesn't plan to make money from his creation. His focus is to get it to people who need it, which is why he won't be trying to get a patent.

If he doesn't get a patent, someone else will. That's not a smart move.
I agree.
He should get a patent and release it under a free licence, like GPL.
I think it would be smarter to get the patent, even if he doesn't want to profit financially from his creation.
That's just foolish idealism. The world doesn't work that way, kid. On a personal note, I wish it did. Here's some advice from an old man- Get the patent, make a killing, use the money to fund other projects to make the world a better place. Money in and of itself is not evil, it's what people do to get money that can be evil.
