    It may be the beginning of the end, but I doubt any of us will see it end in our lifetime. One could point to the Magna Carta in 1215 as the beginning of the end for feudalism, but it was hundred of years before it was really replaced. The transformation of an entrenched social structure is a slow process.

    But who knows, I think automation of jobs is going to put a huge strain on the system. What happens when there simply isn't enough work to keep everyone busy?

      I like to imagine that there will be organizations(maybe cooperatives?) that will help with the transition.
