Saudi Arabia just promised to sue anyone who compares their justice system to Isis
Saudi Arabia will sue any Twitter user who compares the Kingdom’s recent decision to execute a poet to punishments handed down by Isis. Well, this is just a Streisand effect in inception. I say to the Saudi Justice Ministry that they have shown their name is an Orwellian perversion of the word justice, not the least of which by sentencing a poet to death for apostasy which is a very ISIS-like act of brutality.
It's complete insanity and the absolute reason why their ways are ridiculed and condemned on a daily basis.
Yep lunacy that's sadly normalized for them. So now anyone who falls outside of the reach of their ability to silence with a beheading they're threatening to try silence with financial intimidation of a frivolous lawsuit -- one which I hope they'd actually bring as I'd happily donate to the defense of the party they bring it against. It's an absurdity because such a case would dwell on arguments presented on the very similarities of the Saudi justice system to the daesh brutalities that they're taking umbrage at thereby magnifying these issues in other courts and worldwide media coverage, but they didn't think that part through, because intimidation and threats have such a successfully silencing track-record for them
Sue me, I will not be a subject/victim of intimidation from anyone/anything.
I would pay to watch this lawsuit unfold in court!
And you would root for whom?
