Chelsea Manning Has a New Job
She will join The Guardian's United States–focused online presence, Guardian U.S., as a contributing opinion writer, editor-in-chief Katharine Viner announced on Tuesday. In a memo, Viner wrote that Manning, who is currently serving a 35-year sentence for leaking national security information to WikiLeaks, will write "occasionally from Fort Leavenworth prison on the subjects of war, gender, and freedom of information."
