I once saw an extremely overweight mall cop ordering KFC while waiting in line on his Segway. I proceeded to snap a picture but then deleted it as I felt it was wrong to ridicule someone for their mode of transportation or poor food choices. Either way, I realized right then and there that people need to walk MORE not less and generally driving 2 blocks to a corner store should be considered extremely lazy.
Mall cops typically walk all day which is why many malls supply segways. But I do agree that overweight people on scooters shouldn't just give up and stop walking completely, as sitting all day will slowly keep degrading their health.
I've always believed that the Segway would fail hard. It's just seems too awkward and pointless.
