Sorry about that, I've edited in the full URL now. I'll be more careful in the future, but the initial reason I used the shortened URL is because the New York Times website in particular doesn't fill in Snap details automatically. Shortened URL still didn't work but I was experimenting.
I was also unaware of the dupe detector because it never seems to flag anything for my posts, but it's good to know it's there. I wasn't sure if the search feature here is just bad or otherwise.
Interesting, there is a dupe detector... was wondering that. Is it just based on URL because a lot of sites throw slugs on the end of URLs that serve no purpose other than allowing humans to identify the link.
The only important part of the URL is the ID at the start, the rest isn't even examined, so in theory you can put what ever you want. (htp on purpose as I didn't want them to become links)
