Wait, what, the government is running old tech and not new, say it's not so... seriously, Microsoft should give them a hard timetable to transfer to a new system, be that Windows or otherwise. I find it odd the US Government doesn't have some OS that is independent that they run and is secure, it's no wonder the government keeps getting hacked and losing data on info on their employees.

...Why not use the millions to buy copies of Win7 or 8 and to fund fixing anything that breaks on the transition instead? Yeah, maybe it would have been marginally costlier, but still I don't feel like it's a good idea that an organization with massive ships carrying massive guns and missiles keeps using outdated tech that has been poked full of security holes years ago.
