Windows 10: broken update forces some users into endless reboot loop
Some users of Windows 10 are reporting issues installing one of Microsoft’s first updates for the new operating system, which traps them in a reboot loop. The KB3081424 update, released on Wednesday, collects a series of smaller updates into one bigger patch designed to make the updating process for new users simpler and easier.

I've added a related link to a TechRadar article that says a new update fixes this issue.
And people told me auto updates weren't a problem. Hilarious.
The writing was on the wall. This happened before with other versions of Windows, but back then it was easy to postpone the update, now with MS's boneheaded decision of making the updates mandatory, there's no escape.
If I ever have to upgrade because some game requires DX12 or some other reason, I'm gonna put all Microsoft's update servers on a blacklist, and only whitelist them after I'm sure nothing is broken.
