As a kid riding my bike down country lanes, I always had packets of sugar in my back pocket to ensure culinary delight once the 'ditch' rhubarb was ripe and ready and to be gobbled down. I was lucky enough to live in an area that boasted wild strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and of course that wonderfully sour rhubarb all summer long. * licks lips in memory *
