MI5 reveal nine UK terror plots were foiled in the past year
Nine terror plots have been foiled in the UK over the past year, cabinet ministers have been told. MI5's Director General Andrew Parker briefed Theresa May and her senior team on the planned attacks on Tuesday. Ministers were told that the IS forces had been beaten in Iraq in Syria but were now pushing for attacks to be carried out on UK soil.

I wonder how many of the aforementioned 9 planned attacks were related to which ideologies.
I also wonder, in part related to the last half of the article about reflecting on how they used intelligence, how they were able to foil these terror plots -- what kind of surveillance was used? My guess is that, partly because they're not proudly stating it, it had little to do with dragnet surveillance which they're pushing for more and more.
