Why don't black and white Americans live together?
In many parts of the US, Americans of different races aren't neighbours - they don't go to the same schools, they don't always have access to the same services.

A long history of enforced segregation policy, followed by unenforced policy trying to create equality. Throw in the disproportionate incarceration rates as a result of the war on drugs and you've got yourself decades of class warfare.
This phenomena is not unique to America nor to color.
