Hubble view of Spiral Galaxy M 106
This image combines Hubble observations of M 106 with additional information captured by amateur astronomers Robert Gendler and Jay GaBany. Gendler combined Hubble data with his own observations to produce this stunning colour image. M 106 is a relatively nearby spiral galaxy, a little over 20 million light-years away.

I added a related link because I noticed the Hubble photo you linked to wasn't quite the same as the one in your snap, which has been artificially tilt-shifted. It appears the one in your snap was originally edited/photoshopped by the reddit user whose post I linked. They're not exactly the 'creator' of the picture, but I figured a source for the tilt-shifting might be handy - particularly since the creator did a whole series of beautiful modifications.

Yeah that fellow definitely spiced up the colors lol. I love to think how every little speck in these pictures is a star though with planets and (hopefully) life staring up at the stars like us.
It reminds me of an iris the more you look at it.
