The way I see it, electricity could give buses the last bit of affordability they need to really become worth it. For me, I don't quite save enough in gas to justify a monthly public transit pass in my area so I still drive. However, with electric buses requiring less money to maintain, I could see prices going down to a point that the amount saved would be enough saved to justify making my schedule a bit harder (I live far enough away from my work and school that a bus commute requires quite a bit of scheduling around)
