II can't use it cause the videos are smaller than postage stamps and the print explaning each is too small to read.
If I try to enlarge them, only the oversized print at the top and bottom of the page gets bigger and the videos remain too small.
Useless for me.
Aaah, okay. Here it runs good, both on my laptop and pc. Pc has Arch + Gnome, Laptop had Arch + Plasma. After some exporting and importing data from my YouTube account to my Freetube program, I even have all my favourite channels on it. But, like with everything in life: if it's not yours, then it is something else that could help with the ads. I use Vivaldi (and Brave) to consume videos on YouTube, both are really strict on ads, plus I have added uBlock Origin and AdBlocker Ultimate to both browsers. No ads on YouTube, or on any page. You could try that extreme method also, to keep those bastards out? :-)
I have used ad blockers since they first came out and have used uBlock Origin for ages. One thing I can also do and I'm not sure YT will have a work around is simply not watch their videos on YT. About a year ago they ran unstopple ads here that overrode YBO,so I simply grabbed the urls I wanted and pulled them to a website and watched there. I will simply stop watching videos if I can't get around ads as it's not worth muting oiver and over anmd finding something to do during their mindless time wastring ads.
FreeTube. That's it, I'm out to chase dreams and live an ad-less life. :-)
I've heard of this and definitely need to learn more.
I use it for about a year and it is a godbless. :-)
