You’ve described the time you spent with her toward the end there having more than a tinge of dementia, as I recall. Did that strike you as peculiarly coherent, at the time?
My mistake then, sorry. I’d say that was coherent. Spontaneous, too, conceivably. There are some famous last words stories that come off rehearsed, like Oscar Wilde’s last words supposedly having been something like “Either those drapes go, or I go.”
