In the house,I've had them come at me regardless of how many times I swat and the only way around it is to kill them.

I have thought that too. But maybe if there are 100 mosquitoes coming at you, swatting one will make her go away, but the other 99 won't be worried at all.

On the other hand, if a mozzie is stuck in your house with you (ie tasty food) and is hungry, it might just brave a swatting to get food for its babies.

Good point. She could be so desperate she ignores the dangers cause there are no other options.

I generally have the same experience. How, I just kill them all before I go to sleep. Ever have a live mosquito in the room with you with the lights off when you're trying to sleep? It sucks!

I finally caved in and got a mosquito net over my bed.

I wonder whatever happened to that incredible little laser machine that would just melt mosquitoes within a certain distance to it. Man, I would pay good money for that machine to make those evening BBQ's a million times better.

I did not even know there was such a thing! Do you remember when it was sold?

The sight of a cat makes you cross-eyed with seething rage, but mosquitoes you just wish would work with you a little more? I'm the opposite, myself.
