Humans, one of the more hideous and terrifying species.
It's funny how science fiction universes so often treat humans as a boring, default everyman species or even the weakest and dumbest. I want to see a sci fi universe where we're actually considered one of the more hideous and terrifying species.

I agree...Yet many of our species are terrified of creatures that are mostly harmless and will kill them on sight. If we don't like a plant,it's called a "weed" and we destroy it. Any animal we don't approve of is a "pest" and it deserves the same horrific fate. Sometimes I hate humans. That being said,yeah,a sf universe like that I'd love to read.
