I think that the entire closeness thing - this unattainable quest for the perfect shave that leaves your face as smooth as a baby's bottom while sculpting your perfect chin and masculine jawline at the same time, is overrated. But I'm old and have an onion on my belt to prove it and I'd be fine never touching a safety razor again. Really, a close shave only lasts for a couple of hours anyway and I can get six months out of a Sensor (double) blade and leave those minor facial irregularities almost intact every time. Okay, my point being is that I think that shaving advanced up to the event of the double blade but maybe not beyond. I could be convinced to support legislation to outlaw electric shavers. And maybe that isn't an onion but a hernia.
