More people prefer a male boss, but gender gap is narrowing
Sorry, ladies of the working world. Those are comments we received in response to my recent piece about how companies with more women in C-suites and corporate boards do better financially.

I've had 4 awful female bosses and 1 awesome female boss. I've had 1 awful male boss and 3 awesome male bosses. Based on my personal experience, I prefer male bosses.
I don't think either males or females are inherently better at being bosses, but my experience is that something affects the balance of good vs. bad bosses and gender. If I had to pick, experience says pick male.
No disrespect intended toward anyone.
I think its because females have a harder time to get to that position, so they tend to be more ruthless when they earn it. They need to show they are tougher than a male boss with similar credentials and experience.
