Interesting read. I feel like they should account for the models where vampires choose whether to turn their victim into a vampire. When I was growing up I remember at least one movie that the final step of turning was having the vampire to be, drink blood from the vampire turning them. The modeling seems to assume that everyone that is fed on, turns and begins feeding.
