Video: Teachers chant 'fund our schools' as revenue-generating measure fails to get a vote
After an unsuccessful attempt by Oklahoma Democrats to get a vote on Senate Bill 1086, teachers in the chamber for Tuesday's walkout began chanting "fund our schools." The bill would have brought in $70-$100 million by eliminating capital gains tax credit. Rep. Josh Cockroft, R-Wanette, ordered ushers and troopers to clear the galleries during the chants. However, he later relented.
