I block them as much as humanely possible. I've had ads in my face all my life and I'm quite frankly sick to death of seeing them.
The only ads I liked were the Get A Mac ads,even so,I never got a Mac.
A lad on our little Linux forum tried to install Pi-hole. It's a great idea,but it was so complicated and convoluted that he finally just gave up.
We gave up tv over 10 years due to the crappy shows offered and the never ending ad bombardment.
When 21 minutes of a so-called "hour" long tv show is ads,well that's just not worth it to me,even though I've always muted them. I've read ads even run on the bottom of the screen now. It just never ends.

On some shows, they can take up 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottom of the screen.
