I'm really excited for this game. People are giving the US 2:1 odds but we've seen crazier things happen this WC (sorry England :( ). I'm only upset the TV said it started at 2 PST but it's actually starting in an hour and a half. Oh well, more time to make popcorn and get hyped!

Oh man, this ought to be good. May the best team win.

Too bad that my country (the Netherlands) got knocked out, but at least I'm glad that the U.S. made it to the final - which is good for the sport.

P.s.: Am I the only one that is amazed to find so much attention for this here and in online news in general?

I have seen a local increase in soccer here in Ohio too in the last year.

I was thinking the opposite! Here in America, this seems to be getting very little coverage. . .

I feel like in America it is getting a lot more coverage than the previous women's world cup. (not as much as the men's world cup was but it will be like that forever)

There's coverage, but not much hype. We're competing for the world cup!, and it doesn't seem that way on the media right now.

I was at a brew pub in a small town in Wisconsin earlier and I heard a shout go up from a bunch of people watching something on the TVs by the bar. I remember thinking it was strange, because it's not football season.

On the way out, I realized it was the women's soccer game. It was a jarring moment, but in a nice way.

No, I am also impressed with the amount of media attention the Women's World Cup has been generating. Especially here in U.S, this is great for soccer and the future of women's sports.

Seriously, I think that every world cup more and more people are getting interested in the US. The 2014 cup was what got me willing to watch some MLS games and now I'm a La Galaxy fan and own the FIFA 15 game.

I don't understand why I can't watch this game online in English, but in Spanish there is perfectly legit way to watch the game as a stream.

    Fucking American cable companies...

It's on my Fox Sports Go app but obviously that means you need a cable network to use it. Which is stupid and unfortunate in itself because it's being aired on a free OTA station.

Anyone care to make a prediction? I've watched some of the games and while I think the Japan team has the quality to play well at times, the United States should easily take this. The team that is more inconsistent will definitely lose this final (don't think Japan can pull another match like the one against England, where they got a bit lucky).

What a game. USA played great really deserved the win today.

I think it's all over with now but the crying, the USA demoralized Japan in the start of the game and they are not playing like a championship caliber team. I was really hoping for a competitive bout over a rout.

I think it was just that the US women's soccer team were on point the whole game... But I might be a little biased.

I thought for sure they were going really turn it around when they started to score, but then we got another point and it was all over at that point.
