Secrets of the Sky

“Skyfaring: A Journey with a Pilot” by Mark Vanhoenacker. It is a memoir by a Boeing 747 first officer, one that anyone who still retains a vestige of romanticism about flying should read. Much of the book is a lyrical take on the joy of working above the clouds. But it also has many interesting insights into the technicalities of flying a jumbo jet.
