If everyone got a cost of living raise,this would not be happening. These companies forget that everyone's incomes are stagnant,so something has to give. What worries me is these companies will jack up the rates for Internet so much no one will be able to afford it.
With the use of Triple Play or Double Play packages and data caps, they have already jacked up the rates. AT&T or Comcast are my options and both have a data cap, we use about 1.5Tb a month, so we have to use AT&T for cable because with them having TV means no data cap. Internet only is about $100 now for 75/5 plus $50 for "unlimited data."
I'm considering turning the home phone into a cell phone and dropping to locals only tv to keep the no data cap and going to Sling. Problem is all those tv streamers just announced price hikes and Sling is fighting Univision on price rates which means it'll possibly go up again soon.
