Wow, that's incredible how the waves just froze in position like that... it almost looks instantaneous!
It's actually a trick on the image. The wave itself is not frozen, it's still moving, but there is ice formation in it causing the water to be slushy so it looks frozen.
Well I'm glad that's cleared up. I've seen the sea frozen from extreme cold before, but not so perfectly... once the ice takes over, the waves don't really show at all.
Exactly! Would be very cool if we could walk on a frozen wave haha!
