Obviously if the puppies had guns they could have shot the assailant first

You know, I'm not gonna debate gun control in this thread. This is just freaking sad. Sad for the little dead girl, sad for the 11 year old boy who did it, sad for the parents who couldn't keep it from happening, just awful. There's no winners here.

As a Tennessean, weeeee we're in the news again! This story will totally distract everyone from the triple homicide that happened the day before!

Sigh. Some days, I really just want to give up. I cringe anymore when I see Tennessee mentioned. I guess we're not Flordia... yet. That's something good.

Visited the Pigeon Forge area several years ago and loved it so much there. Mountain streams, friendly people, a Huddle House pretty much every 15 feet (seriously, PF probably has the largest number of breakfast places that I've ever seen).

This is one of the saddest stories I have ever posted in all my years on social media. :(

Children should have access guns? Is that in the constitution?

I feel the parents are partially if not fully at fault here. No child should have access to guns without 100% adult supervision, they should all be locked away in a gun safe. I'm pro guns but this is just negligence and bad parenting.

Somehow these kinds of news doesn't shock me anymore, which is sad.
