Too bad it was not starlings instead.
If the starlings fell out of the sky here,you would need a shovel to clean them up.
I don't think I get it, they are quite small aren't they? (I mean smaller than snow geese)... Why the shovel? Probably a stupid question but I'm curious.
They are many and in huge flocks this year.

They were probably poisoned for damaging crops or something.
