3.1 million acres burned in Alaska in 2015

More than 3 million acres of land -- the size of Connecticut -- has burned in Alaska this year, the state said. Even cities far from blazes are smokey.

    Actually just read this, how devastating! Where I live during our drier years, not so much this year. We get fires not as bad as California but man when they jump the road it gets scary!
