Chappie was an amazing movie. It was the first time I recall not focusing on a piece of CGI anymore, but a character with thoughts, feelings, needs, and problems. The immersion was total. Even now it's difficult for me to divorce the character and the CGI.
The story was great as well. Loved it. I thought Hugh Jackman was mis-cast in the story (he just played a generically shitty bad guy). It should have went to someone else.
Die Antwoord was superb in it. Too bad Ninja turned out to be an asshole and nixed any chances of another movie.
