U.S. inequality keeps getting uglier
The gap between the "haves" and "have nots" is widening, according to the latest data out this week. The rich are money-making machines. Today, the top mega wealthy -- the top 1% -- earn an average of $1.3 million a year. It's more than three times as much as the 1980s, when the rich "only" made $428,000, on average, according to economists Thomas Piketty, Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman.

Don't worry, Trump is surely going to solve that problem.
Oh yeah,I'm sure of it!!!
So basically the 1% have kept on par with inflation, while the lower 50% have been reduced to welfare.
No, unless you mean stealing candy from a baby is 'par with inflation.'
And Welfare? Where've you been? One of the defining accomplishments of the Clinton administration was dismantling Welfare and replacing it with a Welfare-to-Work system with strict limits on how long one could be on it at any one time, I think that's a year and a half, how long one could be on it total over their lifetime, I think that's five years, and work requirement. No, half the country's not on welfare.
Next you'll tell us the top 0.1% are barely treading water while the bottom 90% live off their fraudulent disability payments and what they can get for Oxy on the street.
I should guess you might do the math, and over 49% of all Americans draw from at least one source of welfare, or federally subsidies.
You might just do the research instead of "flappin your gums".
You didn't bother to look up what inflation's done to the 1980 dollar, but I'm supposed to've read your mind what you think 'welfare' is? Have you got any sources to share around this finding of yours, or is this contention something that's secreted by your spleen?
"You didn't bother to look up what inflation's done to the 1980 dollar", ..precisely what I did do.
Ooops, your wrong once again, still battin 1000
Thank you and have a good afternoon.
Taking that for a 'no' on you giving any sources for your claim half the country's on welfare, for some arbitrary definition of welfare you're also not going to come across with apparently. What about your claim the 1% have kept pace with inflation? I'd be curious how you came up with that.
Crickets…
Yep. I wonder when they will have all the money and everything else? Love the crickets. I see your crickets and raise you crickets and frogs.
